Introduction: We are a locally owned and operated tutoring studio. We individualize programs for every student, for every topic. We offer 1-to-1, small group, and online subject tutoring for K–12 and college classes, ACT & SAT prep, study and testing-taking skills, and more! Education is our passion! We are teachers and tutors who enjoy working 1-to-1 with our students and seeing them succeed! We individualize each program based on the needs of the students, so we see great results in their homework, test scores, grades, study skills, and the colleges they are admitted into. We are open Monday – Thursday 3 pm – 8:30 pm, Saturday 9 am – 3:00 pm, or by appointment.

I did have him watch the 1996 version of R&J with Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes because I thought it would help as he went forward with the reading. I saw this movie when it came out my senior year of high school, but I forgot how graphic it was. In any case, it turned out to be a great idea. I can't say he was a huge fan, but it does use the original language in a modern day gang/turf war, so it was at least entertaining. After the movie, he read the entire graphic novel in a few nights (which is written in modern day English). I am happy to report that he just took his Act 2 test on the play in English and received a 93%! I think it is difficult for young teenage boys to really understand the tragedy of R&J, so the movie helped tremendously and allowed him to really like the comic!
