FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've been an artist since I could pick up a crayon. My niche for beauty began in High School when I studied both visual arts and theatre. Fast forward a few years and I became friends with a few people that introduced me to the industry. I began to play with makeup, worked behind the counter, and continued to blossom.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
The most important thing to remember when looking to hire a professional Makeup Artist is to do your research! Portfolio images and reviews are a must. Make sure that images shared online do not look airbrushed or photoshopped and when in doubt, request a trial run. Ask lots of questions about experience and more specifically how the MUA can provide exactly what you’re looking for. Provide inspiration photos to ensure that the look is within the skill range of the artist but also remember that the final outcome will most likely not be exactly the same. Everyone’s skin and facial features are different. For more of our reviews check out our Google profile for Lucid Lash & Brow Studio of Merritt Island!
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
You should be able to discuss your expectations with the professional you are looking to hire. Always ask for examples of relevant work. If you have a particular skin condition or disorder you need to know if they will be able to properly work with it.
