I didn't even get to the appointment stage. HE SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED ON THUMBTACK. It is a quality site and he was the rudest, most condescending person I have ever talked to. I'm a general contractor and he was supposed to go to my client to look at the job. He changed his appointment 4x and still didn't go. When my client called to ask if he was going he replied with the following,
(Joe) “If I went around giving estimates for free all day I wouldn't make any money or get anything done your photos show a room with clutter. I'm not even interested and I don't even know who Bob is...”
(Gerry) I told him your thumb tack posted.
(Joe) "You're not ready to do the job it doesn't even look like a jobsite do you even have a permit is it legal maybe I'll call the building department right now... I will sue you for slander.....Do you go to work every morning and give you a boss and estimate of the job and then let him decide when and where he wants to do it no guarantee I work by the hour or under contract you have no print drawerings submittals nothing only reason why I have time for this is I am driving on my way to pick up checks."
If I ever talked to clients, potential clients or even humans this way, I would not have received the TOP PRO rating that I have on Thumbtack or a business.
I disgusted and ashamed that Thumbtack gave me his profile. I had a lot of apologizing to do and I never even met him.

Joe was able to come out on a Sunday with very little notice! He removed an old water heater and installed a new one in a few hours. He left the area clean and helped us dispose of the tank. He was knowledgeable and told us to call him anytime. Thanks Joe!
