FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We typically design your solar panel system to accommodate the usage of your household. Because each home uses different amounts of electricity one home's system may cost more than another depending on how many panels are needed as well as how much will be involved in the installation process. Roof pitch, roof finish and several other factors play a part in the quoting process so each quote will be unique to that house and the usage of that household.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For a new customer we simply need three things to be able to provide a quote: 1. The address of where the Solar Panel System will be installed. 2. A copy of the latest electricity bill. 3. The last 12 months electricity usage. Once we get the quote to the customer and they want to move forward, we get the quote and the agreement signed. From there is the financing portion. If using your own financial institution, you will start that process. If you would like to use ours we can get the loan applications started right away and usually know within a few minutes of an approval decision. If paying cash we collect $1,000 upfront and the rest is split into two payments: 1/2 due at the Engineering step and the other 1/2 at installation. From there we get an in person Site Visit scheduled to come look at everything to make sure there are no surprises or anything that would keep us from being able to install. Someone over the age of 18 would need to be home for the Site Visit. Once the Site Visit is complete and project is approved to move forward we move to get approval from your HOA if applicable as well as the utility company. Once that is complete we move to Engineering where the system build is finalized and exact plans are drawn for any applicable permits and applications that are required for install. Once all of the regulatory steps are complete we get the Solar Panel System installed. This is typically completed in one day. The total process usually takes up to 4-5 weeks from the day of signing.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
