FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do for some of my standard commissions and others require custom value quotes, depending on variations in project specifications.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first step is a phone consultation where the client describes the work desired, sizes, mediums, colors and content. We also will discuss a timeline for the project and determine if whether to move forward and in some instances, schedule a meeting. A standard contract for hire is signed by the client and remitted to me, along with an invoice for 50% deposit, which reserves calendar space for the project and insures reliability, viability and satisfaction between the client and myself. Work begins on set date and is completed within timeframe, with the client fulfilling all ends of their agreement, such as supplying any needed files and responding in a timely manner for revisions, etc. At the completion of the timeline and project, I will meet with the client or send proof files to reveal the project. The remaining balance is due upon the client acceptance of the final project and before the project can be remitted to the client.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of West Florida. I have been working as a studio artist for over 10 years and have 5 years of self-employed contract experience in graphic design and digital illustration as well as 3 years of full-time remote in-house graphics experience in marketing. I've had formal training in drawing, painting, graphic design, illustration, social media, marketing and more.
