We found Kyle to be very attentive to our needs in finding the right product within our budget. We found the firm to be very professional with excellent follow-up through the entire process. We would highly recommend Kyle as a great source for your redecorating needs.

Carpet and linoleum was ripped out of three bathrooms and replaced with tile. The master bath was special order tile that turned out fantastic!

Hired on Thumbtack

If you are thinking about hiring Floors & Walls of KS, please think again. We hired them to tile a small shower and area around our bathtub. Kyle (son of the owner) came on 5/18/17 and provided a bid of $2240. He said they could have it completed by 5/29/17 and that they would be able to save the existing glass (shower door). We were very happy that they would have the job completed within so quickly as well as the fact that they said they would be able to reuse the existing shower door, so we hired them and put down an initial down payment (half) of $1100. On 5/25, they came out to start and told us within an hour of starting the demo of the old tile, that they would not be able to save the glass and needed an additional $575 for the new glass up front. At this point, we had little other choice but to pay the additional amount and have them order the new shower door. They worked on 5/26, 5/30 and 5/31. On 5/31, they had completed everything with the exception of the shower door and said someone would be back in the afternoon to finish. When they left, they left behind a driveway full of trash (what they had demoed). The was the last contact we had with them for over 8 days. I called and left messages and texts to inquire when they would be back to finish the job. For over a week, I had zero response. All the time not knowing when/if they would be back and without a working shower. I had to haul away the demo material myself even though there was line item in the bid charging me to haul away and dispose of the trash. Also, the workers also left behind cups filled with tobacco spit that my wife had to clean up. After over a week of zero response to my many outreaches, I left a message that I was going to hire someone else to finish the job and deduct it from what I owed them. I received a call the next day (6/9) from the owner Brian. He indicated that it would be 6/24 before the job could be completed (over a month after the quoted end date of the project). On the first day, we were able to use the shower, I went to turn it on and the handle fell off in my hand and water was shooting down behind the wall. I notified Brian and he told me to hire a plumber and have it fixed correctly. I did and $400 later, the plumbing issue was resolved, but water had caused the ceiling below the leak to bow. Brian called and texted several times within the first day of the job being completed requesting the remainder of the money ($1140). We told him we would need to have the ceiling inspected due to leak issue before final payment. He was not happy. After having the ceiling inspected, we agreed to pay him as soon as he paid the plumber. He said he would not paid the plumber until we paid him, so we paid the plumber and paid him less that amount. The only positive experience we had with Floors & Walls was with Anthony who initially came out to do the demo. He was professional and did a good job. All other interactions with this company were a disaster. I would never hire them again or recommend them to anyone else. Hopefully if you are reading this, this may save you from making the same mistake we did by hiring this company.
