What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We provide a free quote analysis for the customer. We prefer to do walk through of the property or area in question, or review plans if under construction. We request email addresses so that we can provide quotes as well documented to the customer. We ask for proposals to be signed or verified by email as accepted for our files. We keep copies of all services performed along with all manufacturer warranties. For air condition installations we request that the customers continually maintain their PM yearly with our company to ensure warranty satisfaction. We provide 1 year labor warranty on all air condition installations and parts per manufacturer for complete systems.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We are licensed in all services: Electrical, Refrigeration, Plumbing and Air Conditioning. We provide the highest training for our technicians and within the 2 year process, get them Nate certified and tested. We are bonded and carry liability insurance and are fully ensured by WORKERS COMPENSATION to protect the home owner. We have an OSHA certified trainer on staff and provide OSHA safety training to our technicians and helpers after their probation period with our company for all trainings.

For proposals as following: Air conditioning quotes are based on tonnage of the system and square footage. Duct Cleaning is also based on square footage. All commercial jobs are quoted as walk through of site location, due to ceiling sizes, etc. Electrical is based on job type and requirement, so they are usually quoted for free, and or are quoted as time and material. Plumbing also requires a free walk through of premises to ensure the utmost efficiency.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Roy Sagredo Sr was the founder of Atlas Elecctrical & Air Conditioning, Serv. Inc. His son Roy Sagredo Jr. worked along side him as well as Yolanda and Sarah Sagredo. It is a family owned business with over 34 years of experience. We take pride in family care for all our employees and our customers. Roy Sr and Yolanda have since taken a retirement role and Roy Sagredo Jr (son) and Sarah Sagredo (daughter) added in Plumbing and Refrigeration as expansion for the company and continue to maintain its growth and structure.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We have all sorts of customers: a. industrial - working out in oil rigs; b commercial - providing maintenance, new construction and remodeling services c. private (residential customers) - maintenance and new construction as well as remodeling services for their upgrades.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
We take pride in all our jobs and customers. We have customers whom have been with our company for over 30 years. Our commercial and residential customers are usually very impressed with our sense of responsibility and urgency towards each customer.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Insurance is important when you hire a company. It will make the company more expensive to do the work, but if you hire a company without WORKERS COMPENSATION, and the individual is hurt on your premises, you are opening yourself up for a lawsuit. Take your time and ask for workers compensation of all companies who SERVICE your home. You want to hire a company like Atlas, who takes care of all the hidden concerns you may not yet know about. So many times we have worked for customers who hired other companies, and still think that they have a manufacturer warranty and it was never filed, so their warranty is void. Ensure your warranties by getting copies of those documents, after all Air condition installations can be costly and you want to protect your interests. Also, do not get quotes over the phone, you are opening yourself to higher bids once the company walks in the door. In today's world, time is valuable - protect your time by having the proposal done right the first time.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
What are the dangers and short cuts that are being done in a quote that make the quotes different from each other. Brands can also be quoted out differently, what are the different brands that you are being quoted. How long has that company (not that individual) but the actual company been in existence? If you know the company has been around then you will be able to find them and is their business a solid business location or does it change often?
