- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Every event we perform has different production requirements, whether it be a unique lighting setup, a large outdoor event requiring more advanced sound systems, or very specific music requirements, so we consult with our clients to understand their needs and requirements, and develop a quote based on these factors. The quote you receive *may* change based on any additional requirements not disclosed via Thumbtack.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?We meet with our clients to understand their event, what type of music tastes they have, and what the mood and atmosphere of the event is. We will also contact or visit the event venue to understand the space we will be performing in. We then spend several hours going through our extensive music library to design the perfect playlist for their event and design a lighting scene that complements the event and venue. We stay in constant contact with our clients up until the event to ensure we understand any changes or additions we may need to make. We will also work with event planners and production companies on our client's behalf to help produce the perfect event.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?Port City Fun's founder comes from a family of broadcasters, owning and operating radio stations across Mississippi. He has been an on-air talent, music director, and event DJ for more than 10 years.
