Tyler Koteles and his crew have been cutting my lawn, landscaping, mulching and trimming bushes for the last two years. He does a great job and I have referred him to several friends and neighbors who are very happy with his work!

Hired for snow removal in my driveway that is shared with my neighbor since we live in townhomes with a shared driveway. Was quoted $40 without salt and $60-$80 with salt (calcium chloride). Tyler responded to my inquiry for services almost immediately and was prompt. He did a good job getting the top layer of snow off however there was frozen ice and snow under that which was left behind. I did not get the salt treatment as from what I was told would not do anything more then the salt I have other then not harm the driveway pavement. I had some salt of my own so decided to just use mine for this service call. After discussing it with Tyler at a later time he then seemed to think it may actually melt snow/ice in a quicker fashion. Upon clarification, in the future that may be what I do. A snow blower will remove the top layer but anything else following that will not remove unless you use a good salt product and a shovel. In this case neither was used so much of it was left behind. My suggestion is if you have these services it would be in your best interest to have the salt used that they sell and a good shovel in addition to ensure that the rest of the snow and any ice is removed thoroughly. Most was left behind so my hope is that the weekend warm up will melt the additional snow and ice that was left behind.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Discuss what the customer needs done and get a better understanding what there trying to achieve .
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I can say that I began doing this as early as nine years old. I decided to mow the yards in my neighborhood for small amounts of money. As I got older I began working minimum wage jobs until at the age of 18, I decided to use my jeep Cherokee to transport a lawn mower to a handful of homes. This lasted a few years while I kept working various full-time jobs, until I made the decision to sell my equipment so that I could be home more when my first son was born. From that day on, I worked my way up in the labor force, but never truly felt the passion, drive, and pride that I had while making a name for myself offering lawn care. I had a chance to experience the natural workforce, and once I came to a point in my life where I became more aware of my options and what I desired out of my life, I realized that owning this business is exactly where I want to be.
