FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
*Standard pricing for a private lesson is $30/half hour, $50/hour. *Homeschool Group classes are 1 hour, $30 for the class, $5 per student, with a minimum of four students. *Oil classes are 2 hours long, $65 for the class, and $10 per student. *For private lessons only, at the students request, I will conduct classes on FaceTime or Zoom.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, I try to figure out what my customer's goal is as an artist and whether or not my particular skills will benefit him or her. If it seems we are a good fit, I then figure out exactly where my customer is artistically. I try not to waste time teaching what someone already knows.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended Tulane University, but my field of study had nothing to do with art. I worked for 25 years in a job not related to art, but painted as a hobby to keep myself sane. Over the years I have taken classes in art history, drawing, and oil at Lonestar College as continuing education, as well as studying with many local artists.
