FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My prices normally fall into the middle of the pack. I'm never the most expensive or the cheapest but my customers always receive a better experience than the most expensive company can provide. It's actually an easy decision for most. To receive a better service, at a lower price. Handyman By The Sea has you covered.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First and foremost I want any new customer to be comfortable with me at all times. Inviting a stranger into your home can be stressful at times, and I understand that. I do my absolute best to make the first meeting stress free and pleasant for everyone involved. The process on Thumbtack involves a bid being sent usually a price by the hour. Then contact is made in one form or another and we discuss the project details. Depending upon the customer's wants and needs we will schedule a time to either start the project if hourly rates are appropriate or a time to give them a free estimate if hourly rates do not apply. After prices and timing have been agreed upon I will be at the project location on time and wearing a smile. Only when the project is 100% complete & the client is happy and satisfied, will I ask to be paid. I like to think of clients as friends I haven't met yet, many times I have become more than just their handyman.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Licensed South Carolina Residential Home Builder for years. However, I never enjoyed building new homes and always found home repair more enjoyable.
