- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing is flexible to fit the client's budget. We discuss what the client can and cannot do financially and tailor a program around the goals.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, we review correspondence from the tax agency and determine whether there are ways to disprove the tax allegation(s) and assessed value. If we determine the assessed taxes are correct, we discuss options with the client. We set out the cost and benefits of each option and the timetable we see for concluding the case. During that time we make all efforts to keep the agency from seizing client property.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
The office has enrolled agents, who have passed IRS testing to practice and represent any and all clients. We have work experience at the IRS. We also have a J.D. and an LL.M (Tax) along with 10 years teaching tax law at a local law school. We handle all types of tax issues, both federal and state. I am approved by the Illinois Board of Examiners to sit for the Illinois CPA exam and one day maybe I will.
