FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My quotes are calculated per job and depend on time, materials, travel and level of detail required. The final cost of the job will never exceed the quote unless the project changes - if there are changes they will be agreed upon by the client before work continues.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I first like to get an idea of the scope of their project and their personal taste and sensibilities regarding art and design. Once I have a thorough understanding for what they are looking for I will create a quote based on their project. I will then create sketches or samples depending on the job and once we have come up with a plan I schedule it as soon as possible. The final cost of the job will never exceed the quote unless the project changes - if there are changes they will be agreed upon by the client before work continues.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a professional artist for over 20 years. I graduated from Skidmore College with a BS in Art Education in 1997. After graduating I moved to Austin, TX and worked as a production potter and then onto Amelia Island, FL where I worked professionally as a mural artist, faux finisher and furniture painter. I moved to Boston in 2004 and was an art teacher for Boston Public Schools before having children and completing my Reiki Master training in 2012. In 2012 I co-founded and co-owned Palettes paint and wine studio in downtown Natick, which was sold to the new owners in June of this year.
