Introduction: I am able to see exactly what kind of material students need after one meeting. After a second meeting, I can see the way the student learns best - by seeing, listening, or doing. Everyone is different and I have been trained to provide the best lessons that are designed for those differences. In a class of 20 students I can design lessons that fit each student's style. That is a lot of work, but the results are worth it! I love meeting new students, especially those who come from different places. The exchange of cultural information between us always helps the lesson because it's fun! Welcoming students to a new language and helping them communicate to get what they want is what I love most. I teach well, but I am also learning at the same time from them.

The thing about Emily is she taught us a lot of things and she tried to do it in different and creative ways so that we don't get bored. Learning with Emily is having a good time filled with knowledge and information. Having her as a teacher or anykind of a staff or a faculty member adds a great value to it.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The average price here looks like about 50/hr. I taught for 20 years in American schools, 8 years of ESL in an English school, and I hold a Master's degree in Instruction. This CV entitles me to a much higher price, but I am trying to stay in the average so I can work with as many people as possible. :)
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We have an informal conversation about what they're looking for and life in general. We trade information about education, family, life experiences. I am assessing their English from the first word. At the end of the first meeting we agree on a plan together for the best possible result.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Undergraduate degree in Middle School Education and Literacy. Graduate degree in Curriculum and Instruction. 25 years of classroom experience.
