Introduction: MaryZDesigns is just a small design studio focused on making a big impact. We began our journey in 2013 when we started creating a few wedding invitations for a few clients and making a few contacts. We loved seeing a client's idea come to life and wanted to become more involved in making life-changing events and even the everyday lives of others so memorable for all people and all budgets. Let's face it - wedding invitations, graduation announcements, and other personalized print products can get pricey fast. MaryZDesigns was founded on a passion for graphic design and practicality. We believe that you don't have to spend a small fortune to receive a quality product and that your events and occasions don't have to be expensive in order for them to become lasting memories. MaryZDesigns is a Great Design Shop! They're great at listening to what your ideas are, but just as good when it comes to offering up ideas of their own that may not have been considered. MaryZ designed a banner for me that my kid used to WIN his Middle School Student Council Campaign for Vice President! My son stated that it was A Huge Hit and he showed me numerous posts on social media that friends and even folks he did not know had posted stating how cool and different the banner was!! My family and I were extremely pleased with pricing, turnaround of designs, and the overall experience! MaryZDesigns is a great design shop with a bright future and we would not hesitate to recommend their services!!

To work with Mary on our wedding invitations has been like a dream! She is professional but flexible. I had a specific theme in mind and very unique, delicate paper to work with, but she graciously rose to the challenge! She honored my vision while adding her own aesthetic flavor. I was fortunate enough to find MaryZDesigns by complete luck when I was in search of someone to help me with some graphic design for my website. Well, the stars must have been lined up in my favor because Mary was not only professional, extremely punctual and her prices beyond fair, but she also seemed to immediately understand exactly what I needed/wanted. I contacted MaryZDesigns for help with a 6 page obituary. She promptly responded to my inquiry. She told me within a few hours how long it would take and when she would get the draft to me. She exceeded her deadline and returned the draft before the deadline. She is patient, easy going, very accommodating, and works to please her customer. My family was blown away with the job she did. I found her prices to be reasonable. I would use MaryZDesigns again and would recommend her to anyone. She is professional, prompt, reasonable, and she delivers a professional product.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
It's so hard to create a standard pricing system for graphic design, as things can differ so much from project to project. I try to stay as affordable (and busy!) as possible, so I do offer flat rate or hourly options depending on our consultation. Don't let pricing scare you! If you are interested in my services, I will strive to meet your budget - even if it's a tight one!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Here at MaryZDesigns, we take the same time and attention to discuss the needs and wants of each client - no matter how large or small. During our complimentary consultation, we discuss the specific design requirements and encourage all prospective clients to provide as much information, examples, photos, color samples, swatches, etc. in order for us to begin the design on the right track. If both parties agree that we would be a good fit for one another, a 50% deposit is generally paid up front and depending on each specific job, we will either submit several concepts or a single concept for you to review and critique. We always include complimentary rounds of revisions to ensure that your piece is exactly what you had envisioned. Once the final proof is approved and the client is 100% happy and the final payment has been made, the design will either be submitted for print or provided to the client for them to use as they desire, depending on the agreement established during consultation. We pride ourselves in providing each client with awesome design and excellent customer service!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a certified Adobe Associate in both Graphic Design & Illustration using Adobe Illustrator and Visual communication using Adobe Photoshop. I have nearly 5 years of experience in the design field and work as the in house graphic designer for a prominent physical therapy group in my area as well as running my freelance business, MaryZDesigns. I love what I do and I can't wait to help you create that gorgeous design you can't wait to show off!
