When they say they are going to edge cut the areas and pack the asphalt on the cut edges where the old and new asphalt meet so they are flush that's what they should do. All of the areas where old asphalt was removed and replaced with new asphalt have a raised edge that is not flush with the old asphalt. Do what you tell the customer you are going to do. Otherwise they will not give you good reviews, recommend you to their friends, or use you in the future.
