Introduction: Riding Lesson Program Our riding lessons are a family-oriented program with lesson times available after school for students and during the day for adults and home schoolers. We can even do weekends for family group lessons. We offer English and Western lessons in our covered arena, wooded trails, and competitive trails/ hunt course. Our program covers all aspects of horsemanship in addition to riding. Safety, horse care, and equipment care are only a few. Add in self confidence, sportsmanship, team work …. But most important- FUN! Lessons are $45 for 1 hour saddle time when you pay monthly, $50 as a per lesson price. Students will come early to get their horses ready and stay late to put their horses away. English and Western riders have an opportunity to compete in competitive trail rides. The English riders can compete in the San Jacinto Horse Show Association hunter/jumper shows. There are opportunities for every level of rider. We also will be having occasional weekend get-togethers for the students to give them additional hands-on time with the horses. We are an accredited facility with Humble ISD so your child can earn their PE credit here instead of in a classroom environment. Member SJHSA I love sharing my passion! Seeing my students light up, get excited, make progress, have that ahha moment and even their frustration when things don't exactly go right is why I am an instructor. I love watching them grow both in skills and in life. Seeing some of my kids like Liv and Chris that I taught when they were Itty bitty grow into amazing young adults is amazing... Even my kids I have now I hope to be able to watch and be a part of their lives for the long haul!

My daughter has been riding at BHR with Jill for years now. We visited all the stables in the area and did our research before choosing this one. We have been nothing but pleased with our decision. Jill is flexible with her lessons, providing them in the evenings and some on weekends. The stables are amazing and the horses are very well cared for. You can tell Donna and Gary, the owners, love their horses, I have personally seen them go above and beyond to ensure they receive the highest quality of care, food and treatment. The area is nice, covered seating and clean restrooms provided (things other stables didn't provide), there are tables and bleachers for plenty of seating while your child is enjoying their lesson, allowing you to watch. Jill is simply amazing, she cares for your child like her own and when instructing she is very uplifting and makes it fun. I trust her 110% with my daughter and have never had one ounce of an issue with her. I can see in her actions that she truly loves her job, she is always willing to let your child put in as much time and work into their horse activities as they want. She is great at giving updates on where your child is in their riding, what they need to improve on and things they can do at home to further their riding skills. Jill isn't just there for the hour lesson, she is there outside that time as well. She is hands on and goes above and beyond. My daughter loves going to the stables, sometimes I have to pry her away to spend time with the family, she loves her horses and she loves everyone who works there. While my daughter rides English, the Western instructor, Maryah, is wonderful! I have watched her lessons and they are impressive. She is always very friendly and interested in how all the kids are doing, outside her own lessons. If my daughter wanted to ride Western, I would love her instructor! All the workers are very friendly, helpful and nice, I have never had an issue with anyone there. Donna and Gary are always present at the horse shows and seen throughout the day taking care of the horses, talking with parents and watching lessons. They are very involved in their stables success. BHR is very organized with their payments, lessons and overall processes. We have never had to question anything that happens at the stable or what our daughter should be doing. The horse shows are always a fun event, with all instructors and the owners attending every one. We always feel huge support for our kiddo during her shows and she feels the love and support from everyone. It makes me feel good that everyone at BHR cares about her as much as I do. Honestly, this stable isn't just "horse lessons" these people have become family and I cherish all of them and their roles in my daughters life. They have taught her so many things and we will never go to another stable for lessons. If you have gotten this far on my review, cause I am pretty long winded, I applaud you. Go try BHR out, I promise you wont be disappointed!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our lessons are $45 an hour when paying monthly and $50 when paying on a lesson by lesson basis.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When meeting a new student, I will discuss what goals we are working towards and what experience they may or may not have. I enjoy teaching everything from beginners (children and adult) to advanced students.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been riding and training for over 23 yrs. I have shown in A circuits when I was younger and have trained all levels of riders.
