Introduction: Located in Orange County, NY, The Traveling Leash is a fully insured & bonded dog walking and pet sitting business. All staff is certified in Pet CPR and FirstAid, and has experience with different types of pets.
Our services include dog walking, feeding and caring for all varieties of pets, administering medications, as well as play and enrichment time. We also offer transportation to grooming and vet appointments. Servicing New Windsor, Cornwall, Washingtonville, Salisbury Mills and Newburgh areas.
Anyone that knows me, knows how I feel about animals.
I became involved as an volunteer (admin) with Lost Pets of the Hudson Valley in April 2014, an organization that helps lost and found pets in our area get home.
In March of 2015 I founded a Facebook group, “Hudson Valley Animal Advocates”. This is a place where we try to educate on animal issues and share important animal related info. We were a huge platform to advocate for Rocky’s Law, an animal abuse registry law in Orange County.
I previously sat on the Board of Directors at Port Jervis Humane Society.

I used The Traveling Leash this weekend and couldn't be happier. I had to make a last minute phone call to them because my original pet sitter was called away on an emergency. They came to my house the next day and met Savanna and see her feeding schedule. I never worried once while I was gone. I'm glad there is someone in the area that is a phone call away and will take care of my girl like I do. I would recommend them in a heartbeat.

We tried The Traveling Leash this week while working over an hour from home and it was just perfect for our Bichon Bella! She was well taken care of and we know she enjoyed the company during the day. Made our day less stressful knowing we did not have to be home at a specific time...and Bella's day less lonely. We just moved to NY and are thrilled we found the Traveling Leash. We had to go out of town and Erin provided great in-home care for our Samoyed, Oso. She was very detailed and terrific about communicating with us which put us at ease and allowed us to enjoy our weekend. She also helped us find a great vet and groomer and was very helpful with a lost dog in our neighborhood. Most of all, Oso loves her.

Strongly recommend the traveling leash when you want someone to take care of your precious pets and you don't have to worry. Beyond professional and more importantly very loving and compassionate with my animals. Traveling leash is a gem and we are lucky to have them!

When we found out Erin was starting this business, there was no doubt we would unconditionally welcome her into our home while we are on vacation to care for our three cats. She has been our go-to and has come through with for us and our four pets (and our plants.) We highly recommend her and her services to anyone looking for a pet sitter.
