Eric tapper is a phenomenal guitar/ life teacher. He has an immense vocabulary of music theory and integrates it deeply in to his lessons. One does not learn to just play guitar but gains a hearty understanding of songwriting, musical themes, and the ability to compose live within the available space of an existing song. He has extremely reasonable rates compared to what one walks away with from each lesson. I left each session with a full belly of new knowledge and the tools to broaden my own horizons musically and in life. Regardless of where you are going in, Eric has an immense ability to pinpoint your current position and how to expand your brain to really understand the inner workings of the guitar.

My newlywed spouse and I hired Eric to play classical guitar for the prelude, processional, and recessional music at our wedding. To put it simply, he was perfect. We had contacted him just two months before the ceremony to begin preparation, but in that time, he had written his own arrangements to the two songs we had requested him to play and kept us up to speed with recordings of his progress along the way - all with a smile and distinct professionalism despite our requests for adjustments. On the day of, he was early to the venue, played beautifully, and turned out to be a great addition to the rest of the day as many of our guests later told us that they had met him and enjoyed his company. We couldn't have asked for more. Eric met our budget, and exceeded our expectations.

We will discuss your needs - whether that means instruction or entertainment - and break down what it is exactly that you're looking for. This usually involves a few messages and a phone call to get to know one another a bit better, and then we get the ball rolling!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been professionally playing and teaching for a decade, working with Juilliard and Berklee musicians through major label artists. Additionally I am a songwriter, bassist, drummer, and pianist myself and release original music.
