FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My prices are competitive.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First and foremost, understanding your goals, medical history, fitness history and nutritional habits. Next we create a plan together. Why together? Because if I dictate how much exercise you will do and what you will eat, you will eventually fail. On the other hand, if you have input and are in agreement with the plan, you take more ownership and are more apt to succeed. I like to say, making a steak and potato guy switch to tofu and broccoli, will never work. No matter how committed he is, I'd be setting him up for failure. I will set you up to win long term, not just for the upcoming wedding or event, but for a lifetime. Depending on your current fitness level, the first few weeks of your program usually start out slow. With a new exerciser, the goal is to succeed in training for one hour and having a sense of accomplishment and positive feelings from the workout. From there we slowly build up the intensity based upon how well you and your body respond. A great trainer knows how hard to work a client without having them in agony for three days following the workout. Your body needs time to get acclimated to exercise, so we progress accordingly during the first two to four weeks.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Personal Trainer Certification from the American Council on Exercise. Tier Two Certification from Equinox Fitness. B.S. degree from Rochester Institute of Technology
