Trent responded promptly and scheduled a visit to look at the driveway entry area where we wanted zoysia sod and mature tea olive bushes planted. He provided an estimate after obtaining costs from the grower for the 8-foot tea olive bushes. He informed us that he had several crews doing landscape installations and lawn maintenance, and that our job would be scheduled about 30-45 days out which was fine with us. The installation was supervised by Alex, crew foreman, who was professional and explained the installation schedule and use of bobcat equipment to place the large bushes. Care and watering requirements were also provided. The only delay (3-days) was the need to contact “811” to schedule the various utilities to “mark or flag”the location of underground electrical, cable, sewer, and gas lines. Overall, the installation was completed smoothly over two days and the bushes were placed in the locations requested (and clear of underground utilities!). Alex provided a summary of watering, fertilization, and care requirements for the sod and tea olives. We were happy with the installation and planting and will use Chappells Nursery again without hesitation. Colonel (Ret) A. Wallace

I wasn't available during the time we had initially agreed upon so I missed Trent's first visit to my home. When I contacted him, he had no problem coming back out the same day. As a new homeowner I needed a large bush removed, a sizeable tree trimmed, and my hedges groomed. Not only did Trent quote me a reasonable price to do all the work, but during the viewing of my property he addressed an issue of excessive moisture in my yard. He educated me about the possible causes and took care of this before I even agreed to hire him. This was done out of kindness, concern, and passion for his work. We scheduled a date a week or so later and my yard looks awesome! I will definitely be using this company again for my future lawn care needs.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For lawn maintenance that is ongoing, we charge a flat monthly fee and include all of the services under the same fee that the customer is interested in. All other services are either bid on or priced hourly.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I let the customer describe their thoughts and expectations of the project at hand, then formulate a plan to match.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
27 years of experience, ongoing training through seminars and related presentations on everything that is landscaping industry related. Constantly reading new publications/books on everything landscaping related.
