FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
it is very difficult to have a standardized pricing system for custom work which is what we prefer to do. I try to get my customers a return on their investment by enhancing and repairing the conditions of the substrate surfaces that we work on.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I make initial contact over the phone and set an appointment for an on-site evaluation and estimation. during the evaluation me and the customer gets to meet get a feel for one another I Look to get a feel for the customers taste and their attention to detail. at the same time I will be evaluating the field conditions to prepare an estimation for the project which I will provide either on the spot or at a later time via email if the customer is satisfied with the scope of work and the pricing I ask for a deposit which I keep with the contract until we are ready to start. so that way in case we could start earlier all the formalities are handled and we can get to work. In the meanwhile I keep regular contact and communication of my schedule and how it is moving along in regards to that customer's particular project until we start. once started if the customer is not present I like to update them with progress and pictures as I know that having a paint job is and should be exciting.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
everything I have done up to this point my life has benefited me on the business / administrative side of my job. I do all my company's marketing desktop publishing and advertising. as far as the physical mechanical portion of the painting I am always moving to further the master of my craft and bestow this knowledge on to my employees. one of the first things I tell someone who starts working for me is if they going to make it here they have to remain teachable.
