I used John to paint the interior of my house and for all around handy man services. I can highly recommend him. Everything he did was done with the utmost care. He is very meticulous and goes the extra mile to ensure whatever he is working on is done well. He kept all his appointments, cleaned up after himself and most importantly I was able to trust him. I left him alone in the house on many occasions. I would come back and find him either finished or working on the next project. I plan on using him again and can highly recommend him.

We have had John build three home garden projects for us and we were amazed at the craftsmanship of them all. The first project was a garden storage unit built from recycled lumber that he obtained from shipping containers from a local mill. His mitered corners and joinery are skills of a true craftsman. The unit is sturdy and water tight. The second project was a compost bin that he crafted also from recycled lumber which was basically flat stock that he used to build the bin in the form of a barrel. The final project was a trellis bench that he build from cedar to act as a grape arbor. As you can see from these pictures, John is a true craftsman who pays attention, not only to detail, but also to the aesthetic side of the project. We are pleased to know that these features will be a part of our landscape for years to come.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm a mechanical engineer, and an industrial designer by education and profession. I've taken classes on environmental construction. I'm self taught in all other regards. I've been either building or repairing something my whole life whether it be professionally or or volunteering my services to Habitat for Humanity, friends and family.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always been handy, doing projects with my father, and helping friends and family with their construction projects. I studied environmental construction and worked for a contractor in Colorado building an earthship which is an environmentally friendly, highly energy efficient home. I found that I enjoyed working with my hands and decided to combine that talent with my education and experience in engineering to provide a quality service in home repair and enhancement.
