FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, let's meet in person so we can get to know each other! That's when you get to tell me exactly how I can help you in preparation for or on your wedding weekend. Then, I'll take in everything we discussed and come up with a custom check-in plan and calendar based on the responsibilities I'll be taking off your plate. You can have as little or as much input as you'd like!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied communications and marketing at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL. Here I learned how to manage a project from start to (beautiful) finish with expert-level communication. I also started planning events during my time at Northwestern - combining my left and right brain to bring to life lovely fundraisers and socials for my peers. I took a special interest in weddings after my sister tied the knot about 5 years ago and I acted as her coordinator. Her outdoor, summer reception at Gervasi's Vineyard made us all feel like we were in Italy - and I was hooked!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
As I mentioned, I feel in love with weddings after my said "I do". Her outdoor, summer reception at Gervasi's Vineyard made us all feel like we were in Italy - and I was hooked! I also started unboxthedress.com with my mother - we transform vintage wedding gowns into modern accessories for a "something borrowed" the bride will always treasure.
