FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My portrait session fee is $195 and print collections start from $495. My wedding coverage options range from 5 hours of photography with prints available for purchase in an online gallery, to my Platinum Collection with 10 hours of wedding day coverage, all high-res images available by download, a 10x10 30-page album, and many other exciting things. All of my packages are fully outlined with pricing information on my website.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I usually first speak to a potential new client via email or on the phone. I like to schedule an initial consultation in person so that we can meet face-to-face and both decide it we're a good match for each other. That way, I can also show samples of my printed work, albums, and wall portraits. From there we book their session or wedding, which includes signing a contract and I will take the non-refundable retainer at that time. If the client is a wedding client and the package includes an engagement session, I'll either book that at the consultation or be in touch with the client later on to book it (depending on the timeline). After the session or wedding, I edit the images, which for portrait sessions usually takes me one week, and weddings take between 2 and 4 weeks to edit. I notify my client that their images are ready, and I make an appointment with my portrait clients to reveal their images (this is my favourite part!) and assist them in deciding which images to purchase prints or wall portraits of. My wedding clients receive a gallery link by email and a download password, and then if they have purchased an album or additional prints/products, I will design those and send them over for approval before sending them to print. Once the prints, albums and/or wall portraits arrive from my print lab (usually 1-2 weeks after ordering), I deliver those to my client and hang them in their home if they'd like me to. Alternatively, clients can pick up their prints at my home in North Kingstown, RI at their convenience.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a 4 year Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Art with a concentration in Photography. I am a member of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) and take advantage of their continuing education opportunities to work towards learning new skills.
