FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Whether I will price a service at an hourly or flat rate will depend on three things: (1) whether the customer/client prefers a particular format of pricing; (2) my personal estimation on the number of hours a task will require of me; and (3) the complexity of the task at hand. Just like any sale/service offered in the world, I am also open to discounts for repeat clients and for referred clients, as well as reaching a price that is economical and affordable for new clients.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I love to sit down with the client and hear out their dilemma or goals to see how I can best serve them. Unless the client is very distant, I do recommend we sit down for a consultation of around 2 hours so that we can get to know each other well and establish a foundational trust. If the prospective client is happy with what they see, we can then proceed to sign and execute a retainer agreement for my services. Upon execution, I can really roll my sleeves up and gather all required information for me to do my job well.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I worked for a Business-Immigration law firm throughout law school, exposing me to all matters business-related for foreign nationals with an interest in opening a business in South Florida. I also underwent client manangement training with the Immigration Clinic and the Startup Practicum at the University of Miami School of Law. Both experiences have positively shaped my principles in communicating and assisting my clients. "Reliability & Effectiveness" are the two core values of the Santos Firm.
