Introduction: I am a photojournalist with a passion for showcasing the beauty of life through the lens. From capturing the quiet moments of every day life to the excitement surrounding large sporting events, I strive to create images that not only tell a story but establish a connection with the viewer.
In addition to editorial work, I am available for on location portraits, commercial photography, weddings and events.
A graduate of Louisiana State University with a degree in Mass Communication/Journalism, I worked as a photojournalist during internships at The Gazette in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and The Moline Dispatch & Rock Island Argus in Moline, Illinois before taking a full time staff position in Grand Island, Nebraska working as a photojournalist for The Independent. I left The Independent in 2011 to pursue freelance photography and open a studio in my home state of Louisiana. In 2016, I joined the staff at the Livingston Parish News as a full time photographer before deciding to become a full time freelance photographer again but this time in Knoxville, TN. In addition to internships and full time jobs, I have worked as a freelance photographer for The Advocate in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and for USA Today Sports Images for several years.
