It's been 3 weeks since we got our 18m puppy back from a 2 week training session and things keep getting better and better thanks to Kristy and Canine composer!! Our dog was so scared of strangers and didn't like kids before coming to Kristy. We were at such a loss, we thought we might have to put him down. It was so bad, my husband and I never had people over because we were afraid our dog would bite them. I dreaded even passing someone while walking him outside. Amos has done a complete 180 since the training. He listens to commands, heels perfectly, and let's people pet him. We even find him coming up to people to sniff their hand to check for treats!!Kristy has become and important figure in our home. We cannot thank you enough. You have saved our sanity, gave our dog the confidence he needed and brought our family closer together.

I don't even know where to begin when describing the difference Kristi and Canine Composure has made in our lives! Our 3 year old rescue, Scooter, is one of the most stubborn, strong willed, headstrong dogs you could meet. Add to that, Scooter is also very reactive to other dogs made life with him very challenging. We couldn't get within 30 yards of another dog without him lunging, barking, pulling and generally losing his mind. I had to memorize the walk schedule of the dogs in our neighborhood just so we wouldn't bump into any of them while we were out, to avoid the scene that we all knew was about to happen. Then, in walked Kristi, and our lives have sincerely changed forever! We took Scooter to Canine Composure for a 3 week board and train program, and the change in Scooter has been unbelievable. Kristi, worked tirelessly with Scooter to change and help correct his bad behaviors, and also gave us the tools necessary in dealing with a reactive dog. Walking has now become one of our favorite times of the day. If we ever have ANY questions or concerns, Kristi is always there to talk us through it, or she sets up a lesson, so we all can brush up on our techniques. The dog we dropped off at "Camp Kristi" is not the dog we got back, and we couldn't be more grateful for that!!

Kristi is one of those amazing people, who realizes the presents of an exceptional gift within, chooses to impart it on the world daily, leaves a fierce impact on the quality of life of everyone she touches and remains down to Earth enough, humble enough, that she would never tell you this herself. When we brought Atticus, our American-bulldog to her, I was fighting a quivering chin and swelling eyes the whole ride. I only had to be in Kristi's presence 30 seconds to know she was exactly what my pup needed. The updates never stopped coming reassuring me he was happy & healthy, receiving the education of a lifetime. My beautiful, well behaved boy is home now. & instead of greeting our day with dread, & crossing the street on walks at the sight of any other living thing, I wake exited. I'm excited to enjoy him, enjoy the farmers market, the restaurants patio, the friend's fire-pit... The work continues of course, & thanks to Kristi's time spent with us when he came home- because let's face it- its we humans that need the most work, I feel confident each day will be better than the last. Kristi is able to combine a calm, endless patience, with an unrelenting, unwavering expectation of excellence. I am beyond impressed. Summer, here we come!

Both my husband and I had a jaw-dropping experience when Kristi came to our home and resolved a 10-year behavior issue with one of our Chihuahua's within a matter of minutes! The only disappointment we felt was in ourselves for not reaching out to Kristi for help sooner. For so many years, we've refrained from having guests at our home due to our dog's anti-social behavior and incessant barking at strangers. (I kid you not, even if we put her in our upstairs bedroom-which she loves-she would still bark for hours on end as long as a guest was in our home. It was so frustrating and absolutely ridiculous.) Kristi gifted us with a rope slip leash and showed us exactly what to do when our Chihuahua began barking in response to her knocking at our door and entering our home. We did as she instructed and were shocked when it worked! Kristi is very clear and to-the-point when educating us on behavior modification. She keeps it simple and is so encouraging! Her passion for dogs and her respect for loving dog owners is what makes Kristi an exceptional trainer. I recommend Canine Composure to everyone - especially anyone who thinks their dog is "beyond repair". Kristi can help.
