Introduction: All piano lessons with me are geared specifically for each student to reach their individual goals and expectations.
LEARN - Lessons include coaching in classical piano technique and performance, sight reading, ear training, music theory, composition, and music history.
PLAY - Classical repertoire, popular music, ragtime, jazz, new age, show tunes, hymns, and holiday music are incorporated based on student preferences.
PARTICIPATE - Students are encouraged to participate in events throughout the year, including studio recitals, the National Guild of Piano Teachers student auditions, the Royal Conservatory Music Development Program assessments, Michigan Music Teachers Association Student Achievement Testing, Music Teachers National Association festivals, church services, and other local community group activities.
I have played the piano for over 40 years and have studied privately for over 21 years! I like to share my appreciation for music with students of all ages and provide the tools that allow each person to love the music they make themselves.
