A Shade of Blue - traditional jazz quartet

Introduction: We specialize in traditional, jazz, all the favorites, sung and played with ease and passion. Nicole, our vocalist is the highlight, but she wouldn't say so, she is amazing! A Shade of Blue performs traditional jazz and early American songbook. We’ve performed together for 5 years in the OKC metro, at dozens of ArtMoves-Arts Council lunch hour events around the metro, at weddings, and special events for Mercedes, Allied Arts, Oklahoma University, restaurants, assisted living, and business parties. Our most recent additions are Dave Smith on horns, and Nicole Pearce on vocals. Our selection of traditional jazz music sets a relaxed and sophisticated tone for any venue. We absolutely love jazz, and Nicole has an incredible ear and voice for the jazz standards! Dave's Flugel horn playing is simply beautiful! Playing the great jazz tunes is such a privilege and a joy, we love learning new tunes each week, and making them our own! There is a certain kind of crowd that stops to listen when they hear traditional jazz. Playing for them is a thrill, and they always appreciate hearing their music.
