Verity Swayne's Vocal Music Studio

Introduction: I love teaching voice and piano to eager students of all ages! I have a Bachelor's Degree in Voice Performance and a Masters Degree in Counseling, and have had many years of experience in teaching and performing. I teach the Italian Technique of Singing and train my students through technical vocalizes and a variety of repertoire including classical, sacred, and musical theater. Several of my students have won singing contests and have gone on to pursue music degrees and opportunities to perform in college, church, community theaters, and political events. My goal for each student is to help him develop his entire musicianship. My primary desire is to teach voice lessons, but I am happy to teach piano lessons along with voice lessons, as it is imperative that a student be able to read music as they learn to sing. I grew up in a musical family in which my parents were professional singers and teachers. They instilled in me an incredible love of music and joy in playing piano and singing from an early age. It is my delight to pass on that joy to my students, which has included my own children and many others. As a teacher it makes me so happy to see my students work hard and improve and achieve their greatest potential as a singer/musician.
