I am thrilled with the work and quality of communication I had with Steve Baisden from Small Parts Welding! After making many contacts for my small chair repair project, I finally found Thumbtack. From the initial 'bid' from Steve, he provided a lot of helpful information. He asked for photos and was very prompt in getting back to me. Steve took an antique hanging lantern and fabricated, welded and wired it for me into a flush-mount light for my century home. He took something with potential and made it come to life. He was upfront about his costs & pricing, met with me in person to talk through materials and design, sent me pictures throughout the process and delivered the final piece earlier than I expected. It was a pleasure working with him.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have a $100 minimum as welding requires a lot of upfront costs in gas, filler material and other equipment. I quote jobs based on my expectation for time and material.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am AWS certified in Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (tig) for steel, stainless steel and aluminum.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I really like working with metal and having the ability to build anything I can imagine.
