- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For bookkeeping I charge by the hour but with a minimum monthly rate. When working with payroll I charge a monthly fee based on the number of employees with an additional small fee per employee and I do charge an initial set up fee which is also based on the number of employees.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started with a small family owned accounting office. I was responsible for the input of data for at least 75 small businesses each month. They used QuickBooks, and this is the program I am very familiar with and also use with my local clients.
