FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge the going rate in my area for my skill level.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First we discuss your writing needs. Do you want me to write for you, copyedit your work, or teach you to write better for yourself? Are you writing a college or graduate school application essay, or a paper or a thesis? Are you working on your first novel or memoir? Do you have short stories you're not sure what to do with? Do you want to draw more customers to your website? Do you want great copy on your profile page? Do you need a killer cover letter? Once we establish your goals, we make a plan together to accomplish them.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm certified to teach English in Florida, grades 6-12, and I'm writing professor with an MFA in Creative Writing. I teach Advanced Creative Nonfiction and Advanced Fiction at USF-SP. I have professional training and 9 years high school teaching experience in IB, AP Lit, and AP Lang. I have certification and worked for four years as a Writing Center Director. I've published two books with commercial presses and won multiple writing awards. I'm still writing and publishing and am represented by FinePrint Literary Agency.
