Introduction: I create images you'll love and make the process as easy as possible. To accomplish this we design the shoot based on your goals. We'll decide where to shoot, if any props are needed, outfits, time frames, and if we're photographing you, I do all the posing and directing so you don't ever have to worry about feeling awkward. I am a commercial photographer that also loves portraiture. I specialize in images for social media, product, lifestyle, event and also portraiture. My portraits are focused around business (head shots & business portraits), beauty, life style, and boudoir/pin up. While I don't consider myself a pet photographer, I LOVE animals! and have started to amass a body of work. I also have a personal interest in artistic photography. This usually involves creating composites, the blending of several images together. I've been working commercially for 7 yrs but I've only recently started my own photography business. I love my Cannon 6D Mark II, it's a little rock star of a camera. We can shoot inside our out. In the studio I have a full light set up. I'm an artist, a painter, a photographer. I don't take snap shots or hand over unedited files. I apply my skills as an artist to photography, often painting images with light and color. There's a lot of magic in the "dark room" to achieve those beautiful photographs that catch the eye and capture the soul. I stand behind my work. It's up to me to create images you'll fall in love with. If you don't love them, you don't buy them. Processing time for a shoot is 7-10 days. I don't post digital images on line for clients to view. We'll schedule an in person or skype appointment to go over your photographs together. From there you can decide which images you'd like to purchase. Images start at $150 and I offer discounts for packages of 6, 10, and 20. I can give you a detailed quote once I learn more about your project and determine how much shooting and post production time the project will take. What I enjoy most about photography is working with people, collaborations, and creating beauty. Artistry can be a solitary endeavor. I can lose myself for hours painting or editing my work. Creating beauty stimulates the endorphins so it does make me very very happy. I could easily become a hermit and then become lonely and friendless. Collaborations bring me back to the real world to build genuine connections with clients as we work to bring our ideas into reality.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Images start at $150. I offer discounts for packages or 6, 10, or 20. I also offer discounts for montly/semi monthly work. Once the base price is met, images can be purchaed a la carte or per package. The price of individual images range from $25 - $100 an image depending on the complexity of the project and how much time I estimate I will need to spend in the shoot and in post production.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When you call me, I'll want to find out about your project and your goals. This will help me design a successful photo shoot. For example, Who are the photographs for? That will help us determine the size and how we will shoot. If you need them for a blog or social media, we'll want to make sure we leave negative space for text. If they're going on isntagram composition should reflect a square aspect ratio. If they're for pinterest we'll want a long rectangle, etc. Location: We will discuss where we want to take the photographs. Outfits/props: I don't put a limit on number of looks. We will discuss what you will need to bring and how to dress. Posing: I take care of directing and posing. We will work together to come up with poses you feel comfortable in. You can look at my pinterest boards for inspiration. If desired, I can also create a private pinterest board for both us, where you can gather and save poses you've seen you want us to use as inspiration for your shoot. Time of day: Time of day is flexible for me. Two hours before sunset is the best light for outdoor photography. If you are desiring an outdoor shoot, but your schedule requires a time during midday sun, we'll want to look for locations with Shade. This could mean buildings with gazebos or outdoor patios with awnings or overhangs. Etc. Time to process: Processing takes 7-10 days. We will schedule a time to meet in person or via skype to go over your beautiful photographs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelor's degree in commerce with emphasis in finance from Santa Clara University. I spent many years working in finance. Yes, I have a logical mind. This training helps me plan, organize, and problem solve. My artistic training comes the Arcanum Academy of Artistry. I have also had the privilege of mentoring under Jessica Lark, an award winning Boudoir photographer and Stephan Bollinger, an award winning commercial and dance photographer. Learning is one of my passions, so I intend to be in "school" for the rest of my life.
