Introduction: Hello, my name is David and I am a professional guitar teacher. I have a degree in jazz performance from Temple University and have 12 years experience in teaching. Over the years I have taught at many different music schools and currently teach a guitar course at the community college of philadelphia. I am currently looking to fill some spots at my studio in university city (a block from clark park). Since my students have often very specific tastes in music I personalize the lessons and keep your goals in mind always. Im a versatile musician and love and work in many different kinds of music so whether your into rock, blues, pop, jazz, spanish classical, fingerstyle or just want to get down with some music theory I always work to accomodate what it is that you ultimately want to learn and get out of the instrument.
Lessons may include learning songs, scale study, chord structure, music theory, songwriting and jam sessions and I leave you with something written out for you to practice at home. So if your looking to dust off that old guitar, hone in and master some skills that you already have or maybe you would just like to start a new hobby, I would love to help you overcome any musical challenges that you may face.
