FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
In Philadelphia, and the surrounding suburbs, the standard commission to sell a property is 6% paid by the owner at settlement. This commission is split between the buyer's and seller's agent. For clients I meet through Thumbtack, I offer a discounted commission of 5%. Included with my services, I send out a professional photographer to make your property look its absolute best!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Upon meeting an interested seller, I request only their address and some basic information regarding the condition of their home. Using this data, I can accurately crunch the numbers on recent sales in the area to properly calculate a price-point that nets the owner the best possible return on their home sale. I also like to sit down and review the whole process so that there are no surprises. When I work with buyers, I like to sit down over coffee and discuss the different neighborhoods and areas that they are interested in looking. I also like to discuss numbers and expectations, along with a brief review of the paperwork that can be expected.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a PA licensed agent, and a member of the Greater Philadelphia Association of Realtors. I am also a home-owner, and have previously bought and sold my own homes as well. I understand the emotional roller coaster that the process can be. Lastly, I am a Real Estate investor as well. This, along with everything I learned from my father who is a plumber, has allowed me to really understand the mechanics of a home.
