Emily’s skills on violin and viola are impeccable. Her facility on these instruments is evidenced by her careful attention to detail, warm tone, and ease of performance of both the standard and the fiddle repertoire. She brings her many years of training as a musician and music therapist into her studio in a positive and energetic way. I was one of Emily’s early violin teachers, and even from a young age she displayed a great ability for not only playing the violin and viola, but also in sharing her love of music with others and helping them enjoy it as much as she did. She had a gift, even back then, for understanding the balance of patience and skill that is needed in training young musicians. I can highly recommend her as a private teacher of the violin and viola to students of all ages!

I've had the pleasure of working alongside Emily for several years, instructing children and young adults in a music based setting. She is patient, creative, and is outstanding at teaching music that is tailored to each individual's needs.

When Emily teaches her love and passion for music shines through. Her attitude is infectious and her patience makes her an excellent match for both those who are new to playing an instrument and those who are familiar with music but want to try something new!
