Academic Tutoring & Private Lessons

Introduction: Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Katie. I graduated from Crown College, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education with a major in Music and a minor in History. I graduated in the top ten of my class, earning the title Summa Cum Laude and a GPA of 3.95. My GRE scores showed that I surpass 95% of college graduates in Verbal Reasoning and 93% in Analytical Writing. I have a strong educational background, beginning from my late high school years. As a Junior in high school, I was asked to teach a children's theory class as an intern. I began giving private violin lessons at this same time. Through Crown College, I worked for 1.5 years as an Academic Advisor for online college and high school courses. I served 3 years as orchestra librarian, familiarizing myself with orchestration, transposition, transcription, etc. I traveled throughout Great Britain during my second sophomore semester, working with children, teens, and adults, teaching English, and performing mission work. I also served as a volunteer at a local Boys & Girls Club during my Junior and Senior years in college. During the summer of 2013, I served as a Camp Counselor at the Bill Rice Ranch. I worked for 5 years with Accelerated Christian Education, a curriculum company, through which I have gained a thorough understanding of scope and sequence, and can confidently diagnose academic struggles. Currently, I am working as a teacher at a local school. Throughout the past several months, I have begun offering academic tutoring and private music lessons to students throughout the local area. Due to my unique background and experience in education, I feel sure that I can provide your children with quality academic and musical assistance. I look forward to working with you.
