FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do have standard pricing. Training pricing is based on location and need. I have pricing for half hour long sessions and hour long sessions and discounts for booking multiple sessions at once. The age of the dog generally dictates which length of session will work best. Most training requires at least 5 sessions although many need 10. As well, 10 sessions allows us to address anything else that pops up or to train and learn other things. I have a similar pricing system for pet sitting. Pricing is based on location and number of pets/duties required, and I have discounts for those that need multiple visits in one day.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with basic or behavioral training needs, I prefer to sit down with the customer and pet to get a feel of what their individual needs and tastes are. It's important to fully understand the customer's needs and the pet's personality along with determining what the true reason behind each behavior. When working with pet/house sitting customers, I like to sit down and discuss with them their normal routine as well as talk about any health or behavioral concerns they have for their pets while they're away.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 25+ yrs experience working with pets in a professional environment. I graduated in 2000 from NCTC with an Associates Degree in Equine Science along with a certificate in training and breeding. I've working in vet clinics, for animal services, and was a Pet Trainer 2 for PetSmart for 4 years.
