FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
There is no standard pricing system for my work, it is entirely based on the budget the client has designated to allocate to this project and the parameters and scope of the work.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I prefer for potential customers to check out my work on my website to first see if they are interested in my artwork because I only work with clients that are interested in my specific style of artwork and trust me to deliver them something of the same quality that is represented in my portfolio. I'm always excited to collaborate and work with people on realizing their dream, but as a professional I am hoping they will put their faith in me to provide them with what is my recommendation. I trust my clients know how to do their business, I expect them to trust I know how to do my profession equally. I also prefer the client to provide their budget of what they expect to spend for this service. I like to bill per project and not per hour, so the budget should be based on total cost of job from start to finish. Once mutual respect is established I like for my clients to send me a pinterest board filled with references of anything the client is inspired by that they think relates to or represents their brand conceptually, aesthetically, etc. If we seem like a good fit at this point I will send over a contract detailing the amount of options I will present and how many revisions the client will have before revision fees are added.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My undergraduate study is a combination of marketing and graphic design. My MFA is from Portland State University in Art & Social Practice. I teach graphic design and illustration at Portland State University.
