FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My fee per session is $100, however I do offer a sliding scale. When I was seeking therapy in the past, I was often frustrated at how expensive therapy can be, so if my fee range is out of your price but my work resonates with you please outreach and explain your situation, and I will see what I can do.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Often client's will reach out to me via my website or psychology today profile, requesting either individual or couple services. I then seek to connect with them via phone, for a free 20-minute consultation, to see what is bringing them in for therapy. If we feel like we are a good fit we then schedule our first session and proceed forward from there.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked in the counseling field for a number of years, often through the lens of higher education, assisting students with their concerns. However, I've also worked in the public mental health field, and even spent some time at UC Berkeley, working in their counseling center. Outside of my professional experience I have my Master's degree in Counseling and have obtained additional training in trauma, suicide assessment and couples work.
