- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer discounts on group lessons. 10% off 5 packs and 20% of 10 packs. I generally charge $1 a minute. I also do lessons on Skype.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to get to know each person's individual taste in music and what their specific goals are. From there I can start to formulate suggestions and songs that my students will not only enjoy playing, but will introduce new skills into their playing.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I trained with my father Mark "Shark" Schatzkamer since I was 9 years old. I started on the ukulele because my hands were too small for the guitar (something I often suggest for small children). In university I studied under Julia Banzi, of the Al Andalous Flamenco group and learned different flamenco techniques that I still incorporated into my playing. I was also a member of advanced jazz band for five years, learning the Freddie Green style of jazz guitar, as well as more complicated jazz chords.
