I am a resident of historic downtown Portsmouth NH whose beautiful 1900 home was damaged by proximal dynamite blasting, which caused extensive structural and cosmetic damage. John did a top notch job repairing my home and consistently delivered solid good workmanship throughout the project with no shortcuts or frills. He shored up the roof- no leaks since- and he reinforced the sagging basement structure by pouring a 3ft-deep x 3ft-wide x 30 feet long cement trench w rebar and adding support columns. John then did a seamless job repairing every damaged ceiling including a vaulted cellar stairway. The doors in my home which were all jammed up now open with ease. In addition to the good work, the quote was the best in the Seacoast. I also appreciated no add-on surprises or price inflation. Thank you John!

JP did a roof job for me recently. He used good quality shingles and it looks terrific! He also at no extra charge mortared the top of the chimney where a few bricks were loose and also took off some old awnings and shutters from the side of the house. The only negative aspect was that what was supposed to be a 48-72 hour job turned into about a week and a half as he had problems with staffing his crew. That being said the price was very competitive, the work was of highest quality, and JP was a pleasure to work with. In fact I will be hiring him again to do some house painting later this summer.

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I personally like to meet with a customer face to face , especially the first time... at the project site if possible. I like to have the customer show me their project and explain what they are trying to accomplish. I may ask a question or two so that I fully understand their objectives. After careful consideration I will generate a proposal usually with several options: good ,better, and best. I try to be very thorough in my proposals in the details of installation processes and materials to be used.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with people from nearly all walks of life. From single professionals, to retirees, married couples, gay, handicapped... and it is a pleasure working with and meeting new people. This is truly what keeps it interesting.
