FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I base my pricing off of how much time I spend shooting either photos or videos, my travel time, and my time I spend editing photos and videos. I print out a contract for both of us to sign because I have a high volume of job inquiries. The signing of the contract is a commitment from the customer to hire me for the service as well as my commitment to schedule you and finish the job on the deadline we agree on. Because of past customers signing contracts and then not following through I now ask for %50 of the total cost up front.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I sit down with them somewhere public and discuss their vision for the project they want to hire me for. We discuss what all needs to be done and deadlines. I explain what kind of equipment I have and what it does. Then we discuss pricing.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taken an online course in videography and have been personally trained by Parker Walbeck. He is a successful videographer who is quite popular on YouTube and has works with the likes of Devin Supertramp, Casey Neistat, and big companies like HP, Nike, and several others. He taught me most of what I know about editing and capturing footage that inspires emotion.
