Introduction: I've been a professional visual artist for more than twenty five years. I work in a wide variety of media including oil paint, all drawing media, many printmaking techniques and I create bronze sculptures. My work is in museums and public collections, including the US Library of Congress. I actually enjoy teaching and that's why I do it. That answers the obvious question - so I can 'do' as well as 'teach'. As well as painting and drawing, I have years of experience in printmaking and am available to teach etching, drypoint, monoprints, monotypes and all techniques of relief printing like lino and woodcut. My special focus as an artist is the beauty and wonder of the natural world. I travel widely and I encounter amazing places and creatures that move me to bring that experience into a visible form we call Art. That's a great experience! Guiding other people in the process of discovering and developing the creative power within themselves is very meaningful and enjoyable.
