Tom was honestly nothing short of amazing and we couldn't have been happier with the results at our wedding. He was so professional throughout -- he met with us before to discuss our preferences, he listened to what we wanted to hear (and didn't want to hear!) and put together a phenomenal playlist for us. The guests at our wedding commented numerous times how they loved the DJ. Like, repeatedly -- so many people asked us who he was and where we found him. And his live performances were really strong -- at one point, our photographer wanted to get some photos of us doing a slow dance. I can't remember what song it was, but I remember thinking it was an actual recording and thought to myself "I don't think I've heard this cover before". Then I realized it was Tom playing and singing. Tom also went out of his way to find a special song for my dance with my mother, which I really appreciated. One of my favorite things I heard about him was from our venue organizer. Tom called them to ask about his setup, best places to put his speakers, when to arrive, etc. Our venue organizer said maybe one in twenty DJs will actually call them to ask those types of questions. She told us it was the sign of a really professional and quality DJ that he would do that. I honestly can't say enough nice things about Tom -- we were so grateful that he did our wedding. On a day when there are so many things to do and worry about, Tom just put us at ease and set everything up for a really, really fun wedding. Thank you, Tom!

Tom was a fantastic DJ and performer for our wedding celebration. He was very accessible, flexible, and easy to work with leading up to the wedding and was a huge hit with all of our guests during the big day. In addition to providing DJ services, Tom played flute, saxophone, and guitar at various stages of our celebrations and kept the dance floor packed throughout the reception. Tom played hits that everyone could get up and dance to, but also tailored his playlist to include some obscure songs and artists that my wife and I particularly enjoy. Our family and friends were thoroughly impressed with Tom’s talents (as were we!), and we received numerous comments from guests of all ages and musical tastes on how Tom’s abilities and musicianship provided a perfect soundtrack to such a joyous occasion. Tom was 100% the best choice we could have made for our wedding, and we would absolutely recommend him to anyone else!

Tom is the absolute best choice one could ever make in choosing a DJ! His responsiveness, attention to detail and professionalism were clear as well as his love of music! His voice is just breath taking and his musical skills with various instruments is so awesome! Your guests will be so amazed at his versatility and will beg for more! The dance floor was packed with such a diversity of various age groups and the music played on an on well into the night! Tom worked so well with our guest vocalist during and after the ceremony and they were both so well received by our guests! Tom, played at my daughter's wedding, that we just had to have him play at ours and he gratiously traveled to the state of Maine! We are still hearing from our guests how great the music was! All I can say is Tom is a 5 star entertainer and you will not be disappointed!!

I got married on December 9, 2017. Tom Bruhl was our DJ and I couldn’t me more happy and grateful for everything he did for my husband and I. He exceeded my expectations in every way. Tom is very organized and was always available when I had a question or concern. He worked with both of us to customize our wedding night and also gave us some very helpful tips and suggestions. He made sure the night went smoothly. Tom is very talented. He sang, played instruments, and played music that we requested. Between cocktail hour and the reception he created this amazing atmosphere and was fantastic. People can’t stop talking about how wonderful he was. He made sure to have people up on the dance floor and try to accommodate wedding guest request along with songs we wanted to play as well. He definitely made our wedding night unforgettable!

I hired Tom for my wife's surprise birthday party and he was a big hit! Many complements during and after the party from guests. What sets him apart is that he plays AND performs from a song list based on your preferences. Most of the time, guests couldn't tell if the song was the original recording or if Tom was performing it. Plus, Tom is great at reading the room and making adjustments based on the energy of the crowd. He is very professional and service oriented. Definitely a 5-star recommendation.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing varies depending on hours, date and services needed. I am fare and less than many standard DJs that offer nothing close to my services. Services: DJ,MC, vocalist, classical/acoustic guitar, electric guitar, alto saxophone, tenor saxophone & flute, sound engineer.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Ask what their wedding ideas are. Learn what is most important then discover the details that will achieve them. Establish communication lines so ideas can bounce back and forth easily up to the wedding day. Give song lists of known song choices.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Studied voice, guitar and sax privately since I was five years old. Moved from Chicago to Boston to study music. Performing professionally since graduating Cum Laude at Berklee College of Music. Own a professional recording studio producing ground up songs for 100s of bands. Tom's musical ear guides them through to a finished product.
