Introduction: Watching confidence and a sense of accomplishment emerge from my students is one of the most fulfilling aspects of my job as a vocal coach and teacher. Every student improves on one way or another and that is extremely satisfying. I've coached numerous students through auditions and competitions and I've taught beginners who have never sung in front of anyone before. Watching students grow musically and emotionally is really the most enjoyable pert of my job.

I've been taking weekly lessons from Sara for a little over a year now. My lessons are fun and productive. She focuses on technique as well as interpretation. She assigns music to me and sometimes I pick out my own.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I teach weekly lessons. Depending on the age and the goals of the student, lessons range from a half hour to an hour in length. I offer a discount for siblings. Lessons are $20 for a half hour and $30 for an hour. I offer a group class for my students once every 6 weeks. There is no charge for this class. It is fun and it offers an opportunity for students to perform if they want and to get positive feedback from their peers.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a bachelor degree in Vocal Performance for the College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University in Chicago and credits in Graduate studies in Vocal Pedagogy from Northeastern Illinois University. I am a Church Music/Choir director and have been teaching private voice lessons for almost 20 years.
