FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Standard piano tunings run $105 for suffolk county and $115 for nassau county. All repairs are charged at $1 per minute
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I come meet the customer and their piano. I give it a once over and inform customer of any issues that need to be address. I also try to give the customer as much information as i can about their piano, like age, condition, value, history of that manufacturer, and how to maintain it. Then i tune it up and preform any repairs that had been agreed to and put the customer in my database so i may keep track of when their piano will need another tuning.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended Crane School of Music where i recieved a performace certificate in clarinet performace. After college i started teaching music lessons and started an apprenticeship with a head piano technician. After a few years of tuning and repairing pianos i started B Natural Music. While i was building up that company i had joined the music union and got to sub on many shows on broadway and off broadway. After 6 years of performing in the city i finally had built up enough clients to do piano tuning and repair full time. As i was runing my business i started to learn about fixing victrolas, phonographs, clocks, organs, and furniture building.
