Introduction: I teach students with the assumption that they can go as far as they want to go with their music. I believe strongly in teaching a broad understanding of music that enables a student to not only play songs they like, but write songs and perform songs as well. I emphasize playing by ear and playing with others. I feel the latter especially is vital to help students stick with it when they might feel like giving up. I love when students finally have breakthroughs in their learning and make connections that help take their skills to the next level. I love how music can positively impact so many other areas of life, such as relational, emotional, and mental health.

Ryan Campbell was responsive and taylors a program to fit the student's needs. He is very patient and has the natural ability to teach. My son is excited about learning the drums and has been practicing since his first lesson. I like that each session is followed up by notes. There is also a student portal to keep track of your progress.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
A typical 30 minute lesson is $25 with payment being collected month-to-month. Prices for recording services begin at $40/hr but are determined on a case-by-case basis.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I completed coursework in commercial music at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN. There I studied jazz, blues, and worship guitar techniques and studied songwriting and music theory. I have a certificate from the Recording Connection for their Audio Engineering program, which involved being mentored by a recording engineer and learning recording techniques and principles of audio. I also took about 8 years of private drum lessons as a youth.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've had a passion for music and audio since I began recording on my 2-track Tascam recorder as a high school student. I love the process of creating music and taking a song idea from a simple melody or lyric to a fully developed song. It is a process I love to teach and share with others.
